HWY 40 TT

Today, I was pretty happy the weather gods were nice and gave us a not so bad day to ride the road bike in the time trial. Having not ridden to much since September I was just happy to be out on my bike. I don't even have 10 rides on this bike yet. Today, was also my first ride on my new wheels. The Addict in itself is already a wicked light bike but with addition of the carbon wheels that are crazy light too made me feel like I was riding a feather. The time trial was billed as 9 miles but I only clocked 8 miles. The HuB was out in full force too. It was nice seeing all the guys out. As for the ride I didn't expect much just to go out and put it down to see how an out of shape racer could do. I felt like I did at the beginning of any season, which is not that great. My clock had my time in the 24 minute neighborhood which is a minute slower than the first time trial I did at the Tour of St. Louis which was also at the beginning of the season. I'm excited to race next season to say the least. I know you get out what you put in so I'll definitely hope to put my fair share of time in to be competitive at the next level.
